General Meeting
16 February 2002
Mississippi Fijis Inc. (The House Corporation) held a general meeting at the fraternity house. The meeting was called to order by president Briar Jones.
Roll
Board members present were James Brooks, Todd Campbell, Robert Cook, Mike Dietrich, Briar Jones, F.C. Lee, and Stephen Palmer. Mitch Campbell, Russell Boles, Seth Williams and Lee Beck were also present.
The undergraduate Sigma Mu chapter of Phi Gamma Delta was represented by
Wesley Jackson, Andrew McKelroy, Justin Vanstory, The Bill, Jamie Osborn, Craig Chapman, Matthew Jones, Adam McClain, Kirk Donahoe, Jay Monroe, and Brad Paczak.
A motion was made by Mike Dietrich ( Second by Robert Cook)to approve the minutes from the previous meeting.
Undergraduate Reports
Brad Paczak, Presidents Report
19 pledges were initiated. They will have 1 or 2 spring pledges. Grades for the fall were 2.83.
Wesley Jackson, Treasures Report
Rent collections are going well. Dues collections are behind.
Craig Chapman, Corresponding Secretary / Pig Dinner
The current graduate relations focus is on Pig Dinner. 40 undergraduates have signed up. Mac Wall will be the speaker.
Kirk Donahoe, Rush Chairman
Currently have 40 names on the rush list. The undergradutes plan on holding two rush parties. One in late May and One in early July. Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Delta Theta are on probation. Last year $600 was spent on mailings.
Tommy Halstead, House Chairman
There is a roof leak. Problems persist with the wiring. The window in the nice room needs repair. There are problems with the T.V. Cable. Michael Page can acquire commercial grade carpet for $600.
Bill Shearer, Pledge Education
Trying to come up with a pledge service project. They are using the Nebraska Chapters pledge education procedure. 1 person is re pledging.
Lee Beck is going to take over as Purple Legionnaire.

Work is almost complete on the fence.
Mike Dietrich will be taking over as fundraising chair.

Increasing number of brothers on the draft.
Events - cookout at all home games with the Parents Club
Scholarship Fund
Reducing Mortgage
Fundraising for House Improvements

Expressed thanks to Craig Chapman for work on Pig Dinner.
New wireless network is running smoothly.
Working on networking opportunities with graduates.

Mike Dietetich made a motion (second Franc Lee) that the slate be accepted. The motion carried.
